I have more cherished memories than I can express, but that’s the best thing about memories, they are always with you! The one thing that popped into my head was maybe one of the first times Jean and Michael hosted her birthday cookout, she said that no one ever gave her a party she decided to give herself one and y’all continued that tradition for many years and always included my Dad because their birthdays were two days apart. One year she made cole slaw with tomatoes in it because my mom always did it that way! Jean and Michael were generous enough to babysit my plants while we were on one of our many job adventures, think they are still there. She chose our Dad to walk her down the aisle when she and Michael were married, my mama was watching down on that moment with happiness. But our families grew up together because we were family, Sunday dinners, camping trips, she even babysat me and Wanda when mama was still working! Michael, you were right when you said that I needed the sympathy too! I am sorry that I am not there, but in my heart I am. My love and prayers go out to all of you. Darlene, Kevin too
