Pamela W. Williams, 79, wife of James Harvey Williams, of Greenville, died Thursday, February 23, 2023.
Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Martha and Flave Adam Williams.
Pam graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte, NC in 1962, where many lifelong friendships began. One of these being with her husband Jim, who she was married to for 56 years. Mrs. Williams, in addition to raising a family, maintained a career as an administrative assistant until she retired with Threat Michael Construction. Her many friendships through the years include very special long-lasting friends from high school. Additionally, she has special relationships with those from the Clarice Wilson Garden Club, where she served as president from 2010-2011. She also greatly valued her relationships created from the Women’s Club, and those from her church John Knox Presbyterian.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, James G. Williams (Anne) and Bryan M. Williams (Jennifer); six grandchildren, Taylor, Thomas, Jack, Hudson, Hayden and Reed; and one brother, Ray A. Williams of Severna Park, Maryland.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel. A private burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The care, dignity and grace provided to Mrs. Williams and her family by the Bon Secours St. Francis staff was exceptional and greatly appreciated. A heart felt thank you to Open Arms Hospice and McCall Hospice House as well as the John Knox Presbyterian Staff.
