Patricia A. Sedota, 73, wife of Donald J. Sedota, ended her earthly journey and transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, June 20, 2022.
Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Irving H. and Laura J. (Pearce) Ratnour.
Patricia, the second oldest daughter in her family of five, spent the majority of her childhood in Cicero, New York.
Pat was a devoted wife and proud mother of two boys. She was an attentive and supportive Mom who enjoyed watching her sons grow to be successful men. After living in several states due to her husband’s engineering career, Pat and Don found the peace and tranquility needed for a well-deserved retirement in the Upstate of South Carolina and made Traveler’s Rest their new home.
After her cancer diagnosis the Holy Spirit led them, with help from her son, to St. Paul’s Church in Greenville. This faith community showered both Pat and Don with love, support, and spiritual nourishment. Throughout her nine-year battle with cancer Pat maintained her joy and continued to live her life to the fullest.
In addition to her amazing husband, Don, her legacy lives on in the hearts of her sons, Donald J. Sedota, Jr. and his wife Cheryl and David M. Sedota and his wife Gabriella; and her four precious grandchildren, Dion, Gianna, Dominic, and her anticipated October blessing, baby Sofia Grace.
Pat leaves behind four treasured siblings, Gail (Don) Billion, Janette (William) Parker, Eileen (Michael) Patricelli, Michael (Elyse) Ratnour; two brothers-in-law, John Sedota and Robert (Pam) Sedota; a sister-in-law, Carol (Michael) Testa; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Carole Sedota.
A memorial service celebrating Pat’s life will be held Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Church, 304 E. Camperdown Way, Greenville, SC 29601. There will be no public viewing or visitation.
