Patricia Ann Stephens, 78, of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
Born in Charleston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Ila Lee “Tootsie” McBryde Stover.
Patricia was a woman of many passions and a heart full of love. She was a member of the New Life Foundation, where she found solace and purpose. Patricia had a love for literature and was an avid reader throughout her life.
Among her many joys in life, Patricia cherished spending quality time with her family. Her warmth and affection were felt by all who were fortunate enough to be in her presence. She found great delight in the company of her children and grandchildren, and she knew she was a star in their eyes. To Patricia, that was all that truly mattered.
Patricia enjoyed traveling, and she particularly relished her summer retreats to her beach house in Myrtle Beach. The sun, sand, and ocean brought her a sense of peace and happiness, which she wholeheartedly shared with her loved ones.
Her love extended beyond her family, as Patricia had a deep and abiding affection for her friends. She was a source of unwavering support to those who had the privilege of calling her a friend.
Patricia will be greatly missed, but her spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by daughters, Kala Stover Scott and Tabatha Davis; granddaughter, Jordyn; grandsons, Jacob and Kyson; brother, Raymond Stover; cousin and best friend, Cheryl McBryde; and many other beloved family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin and Steven Stover.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.
