Peggy Hulsey Long, 70, wife of Ricky Long, died Saturday August 14, 2021.

Born in Atlanta, GA, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Brock Hulsey.

Peggy dearly loved her husband, children, grandkids, and her family.

In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her son, Alex Long and wife, Sara; daughter, Lauren Nagelkirk and husband, Jared; one grandson, Blake Long; two granddaughters, Anna Kate Long and Darcy Nagelkirk; her sister, Louise Woll and husband, Joe; one nephew, Stephen Hulsey; and three nieces, Wendy Eskew, Ashlee Hulsey, and Lori Black.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Hulsey and Bobby Hulsey.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes Southeast Chapel, followed by the memorial service at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org; or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.

Ricky & family. I was so sorry to learn of Penny's death. Even though it has been many years since we have seen each other, we were almost inseparable as teenagers going to Maranatha Baptist Church. I've attached a few pictures of us back in those long ago days when everything was so simple and easy ... we didn't think so then, but we know so now. I pray for God to give you all the strength AND the comfort as you go through this very difficult time in your lives. Jesus never said it would be easy, but He did say He would always be with us.
