Penny Powers Blackston

Penny Blackston, 71, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

Born in Mansfield, OH, she was the daughter of the late Dewitt and Iona Bayes Powers.

Penny was a member of St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church. She was a long time employee of the Blood Connection as a Donor Service Scheduler; with her strong work ethic and drive she was always doing something for someone else.

She is survived by her son Steven Blackston, Ismael Blackston; very special friends, Patrick Garrett and Marin Jimenez; and her loving canine companions, Brandy and Nacho.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at Summit Church, Cherrydale.
