Phyllis Wallace Kamps

Phyllis Wallace Kamps, 78, of Simpsonville, formerly of Northbrook, IL, died May 18, 2004 at Rolling Green Village. Born in St. Joseph, MI, she was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Charlotte Witt Wallace. She was a graduate of Beloit College in Beloit, WI. Before her retirement, she was employed with Ace Hardware. Mrs. Kamps was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Surviving are husband of 53 years, Louis Arthur William Kamps of the home; two daughters, Karen Ellis and her husband, Robert, of Simpsonville and Linda Kamps Stagemeyer of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Kenneth Wallace and his wife, Audrey, of Noblesville, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzeheimer?s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Suite 1700, Chicago, IL, 60601-7633, or the charity of ones choice. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Eastminster Presbyterian Church with visitation to follow. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting: www.thomasmcafee.com
