Rachel “Irene” Henderson, 90, wife of the late George Henderson, Jr., died Friday, July 14, 2023.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Booker “Doc” and Annise McGaha. Irene was a caregiver to all and everyone loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Susie Alexander and Diane Crisp; grandchildren, Daniel Crisp, Ashley Brillant, and Karleigh Eccles; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Crisp, MacKenzie Brillant, Kholton Brillant, Isabella Tackels, and James David Eccles.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Lewis, and the last surviving member of her nine siblings.

A private service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
