Ray Preston Waters, 85, beloved husband of 61 years to Patsy Waters, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
Born in Westminster, SC, he was the son of the late Jesse and Ruby Vaden Waters.
Ray was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church; a church that he loved and dedicated time volunteering and supporting. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Ray retired after a 28 year career at General Electric. He was an avid fisherman, enjoying his time in the great outdoors. He loved sports from an early age, playing in many sports in High School and College. His favorite sports were football and baseball; he was an avid Clemson Football Tigers fan, as well as The Atlanta Braves; he loved cheering for both of his teams.
For Ray, it was the love of the Lord and his family that surpassed all. He had a love and dedication to his family that was unmeasurable and he supported them in whatever they did. He will be forever missed but his legacy will be carried on through each one of them.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sons, Ken Waters (Sherry) and Greg Waters (Tara); grandchildren, Eli Waters, Braden Waters (Alexis), Patrick Waters (Katie), and Kensleigh Waters Durham (Drew); and a great-granddaughter, Lillian Waters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Waters and Bobby Waters.
