Sister Thacker: Janice and I would like for you to know that we have been, and will continue, in prayer for you and all of the family. The God of all comfort will be the strength and solace each of you require. Brother Thacker is present with the Lord having fought the good fight and kept the faith. We will always remember the skit the two of you did at Durst Avenue the night of the Christmas adult play when we pastored there. It was delightful. The food you prepared for that evening, and so many times, for so many over the years will not be forgotten. It typified your lives - ministering to the soul, spirit and body with feeling and feeding. His fruit remains in the impact and influence he had upon so many and his faithfulness has been rewarded.

So Sorry to hear of the death of your good Husband. Brother Thacker was the Real Deal. We grieve over his leaving us but we rejoice knowing that he is with the Lord. May the Lord give you courage as you deal with this great loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. James and Wanda Shealy

I have many fond memories of Mr. Thacker and his wonderful family from my childhood. He was a good man, who was greatly loved by his family and the many people whose lives he touched by word or deed. My sincerest love and prayers are with the family as you navigate this sad time.

My Father-in-law was a precious man who loved the Lord. He was loved and respected by many and he will be missed. He whispered many encouraging words to me over the years and I won't forget them. I won't say goodbye, only I will see you later.
