It was with great sadness that I learned today of Mark's passing. I call him by his first name because we were friends. " Friends are friends forever when God's the Lord of them." I cant tell you how much joy your show brought to me. It introduced me to many new favorites and old standbys. I looked forward to each Sunday to be able to listen. I said more than once how I wished it was on all the time so I could hear it everyday. I know Mark is where he was looking forward to going. I am weeping as I write this. I listened to you all for probably 20 years. I am going to miss you and the show so much but understand why it has to end.
We live in Union,SC. We are one of many who have started Sunday mornings with your program for many years. Our prayers are with the family and our hearts are broken for you. Thank you for the joy you have brought so many.
May God give you peace in comfort in this time. Mark and Jerri have been a blessing to me for 10 years on Sunday in the South. I sang Scars In Heaven by Casting Crowns at church last night. This song has such a power message. Prayers for the family Mark will be greatly missed.
There is no way to express the loss of a husband. The only thing I can say is you will make it through. With God’s help you will. Time does not take away the pain. It lightens the pain. It makes you treasure the moments that you had together and the love that you had. You will remember the little things, the touch of his hand the sweet hugs and the long talks. You will cry and ask why. But then you will feel that hand saying I am alright. That voice that says I am no longer sick. You will still miss his smell, his laugh and those hugs. But you will make it through this difficult time. Nothing heals a broken heart but it gets lighter. God is there and he knows your heart. When you feel like crying do so when you want to scream do so. Hug those loved ones a little bit longer. And when those precious grand children ask about him. Let them talk. You will learn so much about there love by just listening to how they miss that grand pap, candy papa, papa. They will made some of the most profound statements. God knows there pain and loss also. I will remember your family and you Ms Jerri in my prayers.
sorry for your loss .listen every sunday morning

I remember Mark very well as we attended WACS together. He was class of 1980 I was class of 1977. Mark left an forever impact on my life. I had the privilege of being able to minister with him at small churches in the area. He was a dynamic force for God. When he preached or sang his face was illuminated with light of God. There was no doubt that God was #1 in his life. Mark was always smiling, happy and willing to take time to talk with you and pray with you about any troubles. He could always make you laugh. I remember when he first met Jeri. He was smitten and loved you Jeri so very much❤️ Together you two were a magical and mighty force for our God. I will never forget Mark and hope that I can shine my light for the Lord even brighter now in honor and remembrance of his Amazing life and love for our God. My prayers are with you Jeri, his Mamma and all the children, grandchildren and other family and friends. “To God be the Glory and all praise goes to Him for allowing me to know Rev Mark Ferguson as one of the absolute most genuine and sincere servant for our God”

What a Gift to the body of Christ! Mark spread so much joy and happiness to those around him and his listening audience! When listening to "Sunday In The South," we not only heard great music, but Mark and Jerri made us part of their family by their humor, family stories and adventures. Heaven has gained a great one, but my, what a void left here on earth! Prayers of comfort and strength to Jerri, the Children and Grandchildren. This world is going to be a sadder place without his smile!!!

I knew you when we were all just kids and your sweet personality always was a joy even back then. I spent the night a bunch with your sister and you were always there too. You grew up to be more than amazing, talented and successful... not to mention a beautiful man of God.
Mark, I can’t imagine what you are experiencing right now in our Lord’s presence. I’ll bet your daddy and other loved ones welcomed you so big!

We will miss you so much Mark. I wish we could be there for your wonderful service but know we will be there watching from a distance.
My brother-in-law Mark is SO loved by our family. This has been heart crushing for all of us. He and Jerri were the "life of the family parties" and it was never dull if they were around. How we miss him. I envision Mark in heaven now, singing all his favorite gospel songs with all those who were there to greet him. Heaven has truly gotten sweeter and truly, "when we all get to heaven, what a day of REJOICING that will be!" Mark is the little brother I never had and I feel so blessed to have had him in my life for 35 years. Enjoy heaven, Mark! The rest of the family WILL see you again and we'll sing and laugh AGAIN. ❤️
Mark Ferguson was many things to many people...but the ones who loved him...respected him....and will miss him until we all open our eyes and see his smiling face again at the Throne of God. Our family was blessed to know him and is certain that we will meet him again when we see Jesus face to face. A warrior....a gracious and loving spirit...and totally painfree for all time. We love you still, Mark....and always will.
Joy and Kim
