Rhonda Lee Hamby Mahaffey, 33, of 51 ?B? Montis Drive died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Wife of Roy Stacy Mahaffey, she was born in Greenville a daughter of Martha Hamby of Greenville and the late Ray Hamby. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her adoptive mother, Thelma Hamby, of Greenville; sons, Roy Anthony Mahaffey II and Brent Alexander Mahaffey both of the home; daughters, Kayla Hamby, Ashley Smith and Heather Smith all of Greenville; brothers, Thomas Hamby of Liberty, Johnny Hamby of Piedmont, Tony Abbott of Sandy Flats and Billy Hamby of Greer; sisters, Connie Cannon of Greenville, Mary Seawright of Taylors, Rebecca Sexton of Liberty and Cheryl Abbott of Easley. She was predeceased by her adoptive father, Gene Hamby. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Family members are at the home of Joey Ayers, 20 Overton Avenue, and the home of Thelma Hamby at 101 Courtland Drive, #3.
