Ronnie Keith Pittman, 74, devoted husband of 47 years to Sharon Pittman, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 8, 2022.
Born in Glassy Mountain, SC, he was the son of the late Wesley and Viola Hughes Pittman.
Ronnie proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer. He was awarded A National Defense Service Medal, and Expert M-14 badge, while stationed in Germany, during the Geneva Convention.
He retired as a truck driver and dedicated 40 years of service with Winn Dixie.
He loved bass and striper fishing, auto racing, and classic cars, and most of all, his family. With his family, he enjoyed vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC, and Lake Hartwell; and racing at Greenville Pickens Speedway and working on cars with his son.
Ronnie was a member of Unity Baptist Church for 35 years.
In addition to his loving wife, Sharon, his legacy will continue with his son, Michael Keith Pittman; and one precious grandson, Wesley Alexander Pittman.
He was greeted in Heaven by his parents and his three sisters, Beatrice Woodall, Myrtle Ewell, and Revonda Gosnell.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown followed by the Funeral Service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
