Rosemarie Tecla Packard, 88, beloved wife of 60 years to the late Charles Lewis Packard, Jr., of Greenville, SC, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
Born June 11, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Philomena Pistilli and Peter Jaboni.
Rosemarie spent her life sharing her love of books and reading with the many children whose lives she touched while working for Greenville County School District. She loved cooking, spending time with her grandchildren, and doing her word searches. She attended Carpenter’s Tabernacle and Abundant Life Church where she was a social butterfly.
She is survived by one sister, Patricia Jaboni Hancock; her loving children, two daughters, Cherylann Marie Baker and Laura Jean Harris (Jesse); two sons, Charles Louis Packard, III (Darlene) and Jeffry Thomas Packard (Melissa); 11 grandchildren whom she adored; Kristian (Detrikk), Robyn, Ross (Allie), Charlie (Samantha), Rachel (Phil), Ben, Sarah, David, Grace, Faith, and Katie; and her 13 great-grandchildren who kept a smile on her face in her final days; many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved and spoke of often.
In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Peter Jaboni, Jr. (Julia);a grandson, Christopher; a brother-in-law, Jerry; and a son-in-law, Robert.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. A graveside service will held be held at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank AGAPE Hospice for the care and love that they showed Rosemarie and her family over the last several months.
