Roy Foster Johnson, 85, of Greenville, beloved husband of Carolyn Johnson, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Lester and Van Belcher Johnson.

Roy proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was an active and faithful member of City View First Baptist Church. He graduated Parker High School in 1954 and attended Clemson University.

In addition to his loving wife of 63 years, he is survived by son, Michael Johnson (Susie); daughter, Tracy Cavanah (David); granddaughter, Elizabeth Albers (Chris); grandson, Michael Cavanah (Diana); great grandchildren, Charlotte, James, and Caroline; and brother, Robert Johnson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Lester Johnson.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at City View First Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Shirley & I were so, so sorry to hear of Roy’s passing this week. Unfortunately we are both out of town this week and cannot be at the service. Roy was always such a kind & gentle man and always such a good friend. We always loved Roy. I remember Roy doing a good job on 2nd base on our church softball team.
