Roy Lemuel Rice Jr., 81, husband of Betty Joe Rice, went to be the Lord on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Roy and Ada Burrell Rice Sr.

Roy was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church, Easley and retired from Union Carbide, Donaldson.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two sons, James “Jimmy” Parmer(Shannon) and Ronald “Jay” Parmer(Lyn); a daughter, Susan Rice;  three grandchildren, Brittany Parmer, Mykenzie Parmer and Anzley Parmer; and two sisters, Sarah Gossett and Martha Wells.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Rice.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Calvary Hill Baptist Church, Easley, followed by the funeral at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be held in Springwood Cemetery, Greenville.
