Ruby Jenkins Skelton Phillips, 89, devoted wife to the late Edward Phillips, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 6, 2021.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Nannie Mae Reynolds Jenkins.
Ruby was a member of Praise Cathedral and loved her church. She would pray for each and every one of her family members as well as friends and strangers. She was a loving Memaw.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, Stanley “Stan” Skelton (Jo Lynn), stepson-in-law, Billy Thompson; stepdaughter, Janice Lawrence (Steve); four grandchildren, Trey Thompson (Sonya), Tara Sarratt (Jason), Stacy Feigl (Nicholas), and Karen Tucker (Andy); eight great-grandchildren, Beau, EllaGrace, Briggs, and BellaRuth Thompson, Anna and Kade Sarratt, Austin and Amberlynn Tucker; and two sisters, Bobbie Cook and Shirley Brewer.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 25 years, Curtis E. Skelton; stepdaughter, Patty Thompson; one grandson, Grant Skelton; and her brother, Jack Jenkins.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the Remembrance Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Park followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.
