Rudolph Gerald Evatt, 71, of Greenville, husband of Brenda Chambers Evatt, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Furman and Mary Huffman Spearman.

Gerald was a member of the Russell Community Chapel and retired from Steel Clad Construction. He was a loving husband and father that will be missed but his memory will live on through all that knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Gerald is survived by his sons, Christopher Gerald Evatt (Gwen) of Hartwell, GA and Nicholas Lee Evatt (Cayce) of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Tyler, Dakota, and Rivers; five sisters; one brother; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Russell Community Chapel, in care of Darlene Glenn, 210 Clemson Ave. Greenville, SC 29611.
