Ruth Cooper Hawkins, 94, wife of the late Frank G. Hawkins, Sr, left this earth for her heavenly home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Born in Pickens County, SC, she was the daughter of the late James and Esther Cooper.

Ruth was a member of Reedy River Baptist Church since 1948, and was active in several ministries until her health declined. She was a loving mother, grandmother and true servant of the Lord.

She is survived by two sons, Mike T. Hawkins (Lisa) and Frank Hawkins, Jr. (Beverly);three grandchildren, Brooke Kleinfelter (Adam), Derek Hawkins (Jodi), and Brad Hawkins (Katherine); seven great grandchildren, Mollie, Cooper, and Maggie Kleinfelter, and McKenzie, Matthew, Clare, and Jack Hawkins.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Cooper.

A graveside service will be held Friday, December 3, 1:00 p.m. at Reedy River Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Spring Park Assisting Living and Regency Hospice for the dedicated care they provided.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Reedy River Baptist Church, Capital Campaign, 871 N. Hwy 25 Bypass, Greenville, SC 29617.

Mrs. Ruth was a sweet lady. Every Sunday she would always come say hey to my husband, kids, and myself. I also had the privilege of taking care of her at Spring Park.

Dear Hawkins family, Our sincere sympathy in your loss of Ruth. She was a fine , talented Christian lady. She is now well and strong. Jimmy and I have many fond memories through the years both with ourselves but also with our parents and the good times they often shared.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Ruth, she was so loved and was so good to everyone who knew her. She will be missed by so many. When Ruth smiled, you felt God's Love shining through her. May her spirit continue to live through all the lives she touched. The Mason Family
