It was a gift to have known Sally, but for too short a time. Always a smile regardless of her situation. We pray for peace for Mike.

Sally was my first cousin. I loved her dearly. I spent the summer of 1947 in Whittier with Sally and her family. They had just bought a new LaSalle car and were driving it to California and picked me up in North Dakota. It was so much fun. The car got broken into in San Francisco while we were in a Museum and we lost our purses. We went to the beach a lot (I got my worst sunburn ever), went to museums, went to a trial of a murder case, rode the bus everywhere we wanted to go. I loved the flowers that grew everywhere, It was a wonderful summer. Her family taught me to like seafood. I saw Sally off and on after that but we always kept in touch.
