Samuel Jerome Smith, 74, beloved husband of Angie Smith, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Spurgeon and Ada Floyd Smith.
Jerry had a love for music and a passion for playing the guitar. He had a fighting spirit, surviving his battle with cancer twice. Throughout his illness and struggles, Jerry remained optimistic and strong. Above all, he was a loving husband, brother, and friend that will be missed beyond measure by those who knew and loved him. Jerry’s impact on others will forever leave a mark on their heart, and his memory and legacy will continue on by his loved ones.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by sisters, Shelia Messier and Rhonda Borovicka; and a brother, Richard Smith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Smith.
A visitation will be held Monday, March 20, 2023, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with the funeral service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West .
