Sara Mae Gillespie, 92, wife of the late Thomas Gillespie, died Thursday, December 31, 2020.

Born in Six Mile, she was the daughter of the late David and Ethel Roper Hudson. Mrs. Gillespie was a member of Mapel Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Lance Gillespie (Stephanie), Brian Gillespie (Mandy), and Barry Gillespie; sister, Sherry King (Michael); five grandchildren, Matthew Gillespie, Madison Gillespie, Michelle Buck, Kevin Gillespie (Shannon), and Allison Lee; and four great-grandchildren, Gavin Buck, Riliegh Buck, Madison Lee and Kayden Lee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Gillespie was preceded in death by daughter, Gloria Gillespie; son, Thomas Gillespie; brother, James Hudson; and sisters, Margaret Cowart and Barbara Edwards.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens.
