Sara Strozier

Sara Kay Strozier, 75, beloved wife of Eugene "Gene" Strozier, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Carl C. and Velma G. Ledford.

Sara was a member of Brookwood Church and worked for many years as a cosmetologist. She was an avid gardener and had an undeniable green thumb. She was creative and found joy transforming old goods into new treasures. Sara had a giving soul and loved spending time at home and with her family.

In addition to her husband of over 34 years, left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Wendy Mims Guthrie (Michael); son, James Strozier; three sisters, Barbara Davis, Debra Ledford (Billy Norris), and Kim Abbott (Michael); brother, Eddie Ledford (Vonda); two nieces, Shannon Miller (Brad), and Megan Abbott; nephew, Jimmy Davis (Allison); and great niece, Callie Greene.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Graceland East Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
