Sarah Elizabeth Ivester

Sarah Elizabeth Ivester, 84, of 208 Wakefield Drive, Seneca, and formerly of 9 Stokes Street, Greenville, died Friday, August 6, 2004. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of Jesse Rosemond and Essie Vaughn Freeman, and the widow of William Glenn Ivester. She was actively involved in Christ United Methodist Church, where she was a member, and was past president of the United Methodist Women. She was a homemaker. Survivors include daughter Pat Littlefield, and husband, Earl, and daughter, Amanda Holder, and husband, Randy, all of Seneca; a son, William Glenn Ivester Jr. and wife, Deb, of Greer; seven grandchildren, Ed and Jim Littlefield, Rick and Rob Ivester, Elizabeth Crane and James and Ginny Holder; two step-grandchildren, Phillip Gamble and Amy Son, and six great-grandchildren. Six brothers preceded her in death. Services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church sanctuary beginning at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Old Silverbrook Cemetery, Anderson. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, will handle funeral arrangements. The family is at the home of her son, Bill Ivester, 709 Circle Road, Greer.
