Shannon Edwards Fowler, 51, of Simpsonville, SC went to be with the Lord and creator Saturday, April 4, 2020.
Born in Greer, she was the daughter of Charles “Sonny” Edwards and Phyllis Robertson.
Shannon was a graduate of Eastside High School. She then attended Presbyterian College where she received her Bachelor of Science degree and a minor in mathematics. She continued her education at Furman University with a Master of Arts with an emphasis on Childhood Education. Currently Shannon was employed with Tribe513 for the past ten years.
Shannon was a selfless soul who thrived off of helping others, always putting them first, and making sure they knew they were loved. She never missed an opportunity to let people know she cared. She gave wise words of wisdom to those who needed it. She was an avid Gamecock fan where she spent many lasting memories with her family and friends. Her daughter, Madison, was her world. She dedicated her life to providing and making sure she had everything she ever needed. Her daughter gave her a precious grandson who gave Shannon the title of Gigi.
Shannon was preceded in death by her stepson, Mathew Fowler; her sister, Shea Robertson Edwards; maternal grandparents, James and Carolyn Robertson; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Edwards.
Shannon is survived by her husband, John “Johnny” Fowler; her daughter, Madison McMahon; her stepson, Mark Fowler; her stepsister, Christina Dye; her mother, Phyllis Robertson; stepfather, Zane Canterbury; her father Charles “Sonny” Edwards; stepmother, Paula Edwards; and her most treasured grandson, Trenton Maxwell Allen.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at Woodlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Aaron Rayburn of Edwards Road Baptist Church officiating.
