Mrs. Rhymer was always so so sweet! I remember one summer she even let us use her pool while they were at the lake! What a treat that was. She always smiled at me and asked how I was doing. When I went over to hang out with Michael she was so very welcoming. She was such a warm, lovely, sweet sweet person. I am so thankful she was our neighbor. Hugs to everyone Ashley

She will be missed dearly and I'm thankful to have those warm memories of her to cherish. Love to you all!! Lindsey (Holder) Rinehart

It was always a joyous event for us to sit next to Shirley, Gene and their wonderful children at Clemson Football games for 20 plus years. We eagerly watched the children grow from tykes to adulthood, a living tribute to Shirley and Gene. Our friendship with Shirley and the Rhymer Family is unending! John & Doris Hefner

Oh where to start! So many memories. Shirley is one of the Shaw cousins. She always had the beautiful smiles. Sunday school and singing in the choir, MYF group and scrounging around for what money we had and putting gas in her yellow mustang convertible and riding around the little town of Winnsboro. Truly loved Shirley like a sister. Thanks for these memories and so many more. The world was a better place with you in it. Patsy and Hugh

Shirley was a wonderful, kind person and a great person to have as a best friend in high school. We travelled up and down the road to Clemson for many years and carpooled to work in Columbia. I loved her like a sister❤️
