Our beloved Staci Nicole Keenan Healy was born in Greenville, South Carolina on January 24, 1970. The youngest of four daughters in the Keenan home, she came into the world filled with joy and beauty. Staci was enormously talented and loved dancing, cheerleading, and competitive roller-skating. She graduated from Berea High School in 1988 and pursued a successful career as a cosmetologist specializing in nail artistry. Staci’s warmth, professionalism, and exquisite work afforded her a devoted following of clients at several noteworthy salons including Dallas Skye Salon & Spa on Pelham Road and Artistic Cutters Salon & Spa on Rocky Slope Road. Her love of making women feel confident and beautiful motivated her to do her very best for each individual client.
After working successfully in the cosmetology industry for twenty years, Staci developed challenges in her hands ultimately requiring surgery and physical therapy. She maintained an optimistic outlook and decided to pursue a new career path in sales and marketing. She relocated to Rome, Georgia where she worked for Skyland Marketing. Staci’s personality and natural abilities allowed her to succeed yet again, and she found great fulfillment while growing her business and continuing her education. During her leisure time, Staci enjoyed spending time water-skiing with her children and relaxing on the beaches of Lake Keowee.
Staci was a beautiful woman inside and out who enjoyed accessorizing and trying the latest hairstyle or makeup trend. She believed every age was beautiful and encouraged her family and friends to step out of their comfort zones and take chances with their appearances.
Staci had a huge heart full of love for her three children, Eli, Zeke, and Skylar. These angels were her whole world, and she went out of her way to make them happy. She was a devoted daughter and loving sister as well as a special aunt and friend to so many people…it would be impossible to list them all. She was not afraid to open herself up and never met a stranger.
Staci’s journey on earth ended on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, after three weeks battling the COVID-19 virus. She wanted to live and be with her family but was needed for greater things. Her faith in the Lord was strong, and she was a valued member of Choice Hills Baptist Church in Greenville. In the early hours of Tuesday morning, she was greeted by her father, Ira Henry Keenan, Jr., when she walked through Heaven’s Gates.
Her beautiful memories remain here on Earth and will be forever cherished in the hearts of her children and family. She leaves her sons, Eli and Zeke, and daughter Skylar, and their father, Steve Healy; her mother, Elizabeth Wilson Keenan of Moore, SC; three sisters, Kimberly Keenan, Kathy Young, and Cheryl Norris; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is kindly requesting the presence of family members and close friends only.
