Stefanos George Raptis, 84, devoted husband of the late Sotiria Raptis, passed away on Wednesday,February 24, 2021.
Born in the village of Mouzilo, in the city of Karpenision, Greece, he was a son of the late George and Maria Raptis.
Mr. Raptis was a member of Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral. While in Australia, he started a long distance relationship with his future wife. They married in Greece in 1972. Shortly thereafter they immigrated to Greenville, South Carolina and started their family. Stefanos was the owner and operator of The Clock of Central.
He was an amazing husband, father, cousin and friend.
His memory lives on with his loving son, George Raptis; three sisters-in-law, Fotini Chulkas, Catherine Skenteris, and Mena Skenteris, all of Greenville; and his sister, Katherine Raptis, of Athens, Greece; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, Sotiria, he was preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Raptis.
A public visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Friday, February, 26, 2021. The funeral service will be private.
A public Trisagion service and interment will be held at on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 12 noon.
All attendees are strongly encouraged to wear masks and follow CDC guidelines on social distancing at all visitations and services.
