Steven “Steve” Edward Reynolds, a loving husband, devoted father, and beloved grandfather, passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 76 in Greenville, SC. Born on October 30, 1947, in New Rochelle, NY, to the late Hedger Edward and Mary Josephine Johnson Reynolds, Steve led a life filled with humor, wisdom, and compassion.
Steve earned a bachelor’s degree from Sacred Heart University in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and used his skill with numbers to become an accountant. His professional career with Bowater led him to move to Greenville over 40 years ago. After retiring from Bowater, he provided business consulting services, IT support and facility maintenance for Generations Group Homes for over 20 years.
Steve proudly served his country in the Navy; he demonstrated his commitment to serve and protect his nation during two tours in the Vietnam War.
Steve loved cars and enjoyed restoring his classic 1966 Corvette. He also enjoyed cheering on some of his of NASCAR favorites and often talked about the trip his girls took him on to watch his last NASCAR race in Las Vegas in 2019. Earlier in life, Steve loved to travel all over with South Africa, Ireland, and Bermuda being some of his favorite places to visit.
Steve’s dedication to his family was unwavering and filled with love. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Kathleen Reynolds, who stood by his side through thick and thin, sharing countless cherished memories. Steve was a pillar of strength to his daughters, Shannon Paradise and husband, Joe and Ryan Valduga and husband, Tony. His adoration for his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth “Emmie” and Reynolds Paradise, Will and Kate Valduga, will continue on in their hearts forever. His siblings, Debi

His family remembers him as the BEST husband, dad, and “Poppy”. His patience, sharp wit and loving heart were the greatest gifts to all who knew him. In reflection of his life and achievements, a memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 2pm at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with visitation immediately following the service.
As we come together to bid farewell to Steve, let us remember his smiling face, his deep love, and his lasting impact on our lives. May his gentle soul find eternal peace as we carry his memory with us, forever grateful for having been touched by his presence.
