Steven Moore Gracely gained his wings on Monday, May 31, 2021, after a battle with back problems and lung cancer.
He was born in Greenville, South Carolina on October 22, 1954, to the late Robert Thomas Gracely and Mary Elizabeth Ellison Gracely.
He was retired from GE Gas Turbines after 30 years of service. He supplied music to many over 30 years of dejaying. He loved helping to provide music for the Relay for Life runs. He also had a love for animals. After retirement he volunteered at Greenville Animal Care and Petco. Fishing was one of his most loved hobbies and he spent many a weekend night on the lake catching “stripers.” Steve will be missed by his family and friends. Until we see you again.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Rainey Gracely; daughter, Brooke Gracely Masters and her husband, Nickolas Masters and their children, Ellison “Ellie” Masters, Abbi Masters, Nathan Masters, and Ryan Masters; son, Jared Wade Gracely and his children, London, Harper, Knox, and Henry Gracely; three brothers, Douglas Gracely, Gary Gracely, and Robert Thomas Gracely, Jr.; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded into heaven by his two sisters, Susan Parnell and Peggy Leal.
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, June 19th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain Creek Baptist Church, State Park Road, Greenville, South Carolina.
