Sue Williams Henry, went home to be with the Lord the day after her 91st birthday, on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Frances Page Williams.
Known as the “Dancing Grandma”, Sue was the owner and operator of the Scuffletown Dancin’ Barn. Sue graduated from Parker High School in 1949. After living in Rock Hill from 1957-1960, she moved back home to Greenville where she lived the rest of her life. Sue was an Edwards Road Baptist Church charter member for 40 years where she worked in the nursery and primary departments for 18 years. She was a member of the Greer First Baptist Church Truthseeker Sunday School Class, Senior Adult Choir, Friendly Singers, and Friendly Neighbors Senior Adult Group.
She is survived by four sons, Thomas B. Henry, Jr. (Susan), Michael W. Henry, Sr. (Debbie), Mark S. Henry (Debbie), and Todd Ray Henry (Joy); her sister, Doris Granger; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, Courtney, Michael, Brett, Nathan, Justin, Amanda, Madison, Travis, Mack, and Amy; great-grandchildren, Ava, Lula, Ashton, Layton, Titus, Alecia, Bentley, Brody, Blaze, Kross, Liam, Ethan, Lacy, Evelyn Grace, Charlotte, and Austin; niece, Jennifer; two great-nephews, Brandon and Quinton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Chris and Rick; and two nephews, David and Randy.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m., on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Edwards Road Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West.
