Susan R. Cole, 81, wife of the late Chester Benny Cole, passed away Friday, April 22, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Arlene Derks Robertson.

Married to a Naval Commander for 54 years, she was a devoted wife and homemaker as well as being very active in her community. Susan attended Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church for the last nine months, where she enjoyed her time there. She enjoyed many things in life such as, baking, cross-stitch, reading and hosting dinner parties.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Kiriakides and her husband, Michael and Lorrie Cole and her husband Harold “Hal” Rabb, all of Greenville; four grandchildren, Anastasia, Alexis and Arlena Kiriakides, and Ava Cole; and her sister Sandy Robertson of Los Angeles, CA.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Lynne Morse.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. in the Blue Ridge Room of the Village Center at Rolling Green Village.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church, 207 Mitchell Road, Greenville, SC. 29615, or at www.mitchellroad.org.

We're so heartbroken to learn of Sue's passing, and our prayers are with you in this sad time. Sue was a cornerstone of social activities involving our classmates from Academy days onward. Her wit, laughter, and loyal friendship will be sorely missed.

Debbie, Van and I had just recently spent a lovely afternoon visiting your mother. Van was assigned to be her deacon at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church. She was a delightful person.
