Thomas Charles Perry, Jr

Thomas Charles Perry, Jr., 83, of 5 Trenholm Road, died July 3, 2004 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Columbus, GA, he was a son of the late Thomas C. Sr. and Marion Bickerstaff Perry . He was a graduate of Clemson University and served as a Naval Aviator in the US Navy during WW II. Before his retirement, he was a textile chemist. Mr. Perry was an avid fisherman. Surviving are a daughter, Pamela A. Perry of Cambridge, MA; two sons, Thomas C. Perry, III and his wife, Pat, of Greenville, Gregory F. Perry, Sr. of Taylors; a stepdaughter, Nancy Kilgore Bagwell and her husband, Lewis, of Woodstock, GA; a stepson, Sidney J. Kilgore and his wife, Joanne, of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and was looking forward to the birth of his third great-grandchild; sisters, Ellen McKenzie Perry Clark of Charleston and Ann Perry Buck McDougald of Columbus, GA; a brother, Robert L. Perry of Clinton and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Edna Weed Perry and his second wife, Frances McKenzie Perry. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Stuart Houston at 12 Noon Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with burial in Springwood Cemetery. The family is at the home of Tommy and Pat Perry, 2 Elmira Street, Greenville.
