Thomas Frank Norman, Sr., 80, beloved husband of Millie Norman, passed away on Monday September 18, 2023.
Born in Greenville, SC, on January 24, 1943, Tommy was the cherished son of the late Belton and Gladys Barker Norman. His early years in Greenville were marked by a strong sense of community and family values, which he carried with him throughout his life.
Tommy proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, demonstrating immense bravery and dedication to his fellow soldiers. He was honored with the Purple Heart for his valor and sacrifice, a testament to his selflessness and courage in the face of adversity.
Tommy was a dedicated member of Wren Baptist Church, where he served as a former Deacon for many years. His unwavering faith and love for the Lord were evident in his daily life.
Tommy was a loving husband to Millie, a caring father to his children, and a wonderful grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory and the lessons he imparted will live on through his loved ones.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughters, Linda Allen and Missie Weatherford; sons, Mike Clark, Billy Bullock, and Donny Bullock; and many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and a special cousin, Carrie Lee Grant.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Norman, Jr.
A visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m., at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Northwest Chapel.
