Timothy Samuel Seger, 80, of Greenville, South Carolina, died on March 26, 2023 at home surrounded by his wife and children.
Born on August 4, 1942 in Westwood, Maryland, he was the son of the late Gertrude Adams Seger and Guy Reuben Seger.
Upon graduating from Gwynn Park High School, Mr. Seger enlisted in the US Navy and maintained Reserve status after active duty service. He would later go on to join the Prince Georges County Police Department where he courageously and proudly served until retiring in 1985. Mr. Seger would then go on to work for Brandywine Auto Parts, before relocating to South Carolina with his wife, Mary, in 1995. Mr. Seger enjoyed his retirement years by traveling to visit his children and grandchildren, taking cruises with his wife and friends, and working on many home improvement and landscaping projects.
Mr. Seger leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Seger. He is also survived by his children, Michael Seger and his wife, Lisa, James Seger and his wife, Jennifer, Chris Seger and his wife, Melanie, and Mary Pat Brown; grandchildren, Austin Adams and his wife, Samantha, Grant Seger, Caleb Seger, Connor Seger, Tyler Seger, Gianna Seger, Emma Seger, Mia Seger, and Max Seger. He will also be missed by his loving cat, Oreo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Rosemarie T. Seger, and siblings, Anna Baden, Mary Winterwerp, Eugene Seger, and Marvin Seger.
The family will receive friends at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. with Funeral Mass at twelve o’clock Noon. A luncheon will follow the service at 2:00 p.m. at Aspens Verdae, 720 Verdae Blvd., Greenville, SC 29607, approximately 6.4 miles from Prince of Peace Catholic Church. The Aspens complex is across Verdae from Hales Jewelers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, 225 S Pleasantburg Dr. C17, Greenville, SC 29607.
