Timothy Lee Crowe, 57, a beloved husband and father, tragically died on the morning of Friday, September 11, 2020. Born in Spartanburg, SC, he was a son of Frances Cudd and the late Kenneth Crowe.
Mr. Crowe owned multiple convenience stores in the Berea area. He was an avid Furman University fan and generous supporter of the Furman Paladin Club. Tim coached, sponsored, and supported numerous youth sports teams. He loved to race cars and was a champion at both Greenville-Pickens and Anderson Motor Speedways where he was known to many as "Boss Hogg" and "Cubby". Tim was energetic and always actively pursuing the next opportunity and adventure. He lived his life to the fullest and had an outgoing personality that afforded him countless friends and acquaintances. Tim also enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas where he could kick back and enjoy playing cards and seeing shows. Mr. Crowe was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville. He will always be known as "Pop" to his three grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his loving wife of 29 years, Kelly and his mother, Tim is survived by a daughter, Brandi Daniels (Matthew); son, Dylan Crowe (April); granddaughter, Charlotte Crowe; grandsons, Landon Daniels, Brooks Crowe, Blake Daniels, Cole Daniels; sister, Kelli Wilkerson; brother, Tommy Crowe; niece, Cassie Crowe; nephew, Billy Sewell; cousin, Jason Cudd; his best friend, Chris Francis; longtime friend and business partner, Donnie Burton; and many other friends and colleagues.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter W. Cudd and Aileen Frances Cudd, and Whitner W. and Ruth Crowe; and an uncle, Randall Cudd.
A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Family and friends are invited to a garden gathering celebrating Tim’s life at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown on Saturday, September 19, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending this outdoor event are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a face covering or mask.
