Virginia A. Mahaffey-Smith, 73, beloved wife of Roy G. Smith of Landrum, passed away at Greenville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 after suffering a major stroke.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Virginia Landreath McCullough.

She is survived by husband Roy G. Smith; three sons, Marvin G. Mahaffey and daughter-in-law Judy Mahaffey, Christopher L. Mahaffey, Kevin W. Mahaffey; two step-children, Jason Smith and Lisa Smith; three granddaughters, Heather Slone, Kayla Blackwell, Megan Waldner; ten great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank McCullough and Dennis McCullough.

Public viewing will be held on Mon., Dec. 21, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown. Her funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial following in Greenville Memorial Gardens, Piedmont. There will be no public visitation or viewing prior to the service. The wearing of masks is required in all Thomas McAfee Funeral Home locations and attendees are strongly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.
