Walter Blaine Holton

Walter Blaine Holton, 80, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, after battling cancer.

Blaine was born on November 7, 1941, in Columbia, SC, to the late Millard Blaine and Dorothy Marsh Holton. He graduated from Columbia High School where he was a member of Les Truands, a social club. Following high school he joined the Air National Guard, after which he attended the University of South Carolina.

Blaine worked for Pitney Bowes for twenty years and retired from Ascom Hasler. In his younger days, Blaine loved playing tennis, and more recently discovered his love for pickleball.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patsy Paschal Holton; sons, Patrick Brandon Holton and Walter Blaine Holton, II and his wife, Sandy; and three grandsons, Aidan, Ian, and Britton Holton. He will also be missed by his beloved dog, Gracie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, or to The Humane Society, at www.humanesociety.org.

A Celebration of Life with friends will be held at a later date.
