Dan and his unit (199th LIB) helped save a lot of American lives at the beginning of Tet 1968 when they came and cleared the Phu Tho Racetrack in Cholon (Saigon) of VC and NVA. I lived three blocks from there and did not know for a very long time that Dan was in that unit. Very thankful for what he did.
