Wanda McClain, 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 22, 2024.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Estella Nixon McClain.
Wanda found joy in life’s simple pleasures, and one of her favorite pastimes was putting puzzles together. An enthusiast of the color red, Wanda adored its vibrant and bold nature. Her appreciation for this hue reflected her spirit and the warmth she brought to every room she entered.
Wanda was known for her sweet and gentle spirit, a presence that left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her love for the Lord was evident in her devotion to singing gospel music, a passion that brought her immense joy and comfort.
Wanda will be remembered for her kindness, her love for the Lord, and the beautiful melodies of gospel music that filled the air around her. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by niece, Patricia Cox; and many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Furman McClain and Frank McClain; and sisters, Peggy Hall, Nellie Davis, and Kitty Davis.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
