Willette Tollison Taylor, 98, of Greenville, SC, was received with joy into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 14th, 2023.
Born on May 24,1924 in Central, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Leila Wilson Tollison. For over sixty years she was the beloved wife of the late John Floyd Taylor.
A 1942 graduate of Greenville Senior High School, Mrs. Taylor went on to work for Southern Bell for over forty years. She was a long-time member of Welcome Baptist Church. Her genuine warmth and authenticity made her a friend to many. She loved working in her yard, playing in bridge clubs, traveling with her family, and especially spending time with her granddaughters and great grandchildren. A loving mother, grandmother, and friend, her legacy of faithfulness will bear fruit for generations.
She leaves behind her son, J. Michael Taylor and his wife Stephanie, granddaughters Adrian Leigh Taylor and Whitney Taylor Parker and her husband Allen, and great grandchildren Henry Norman Parker and Eleanor Frances Parker. In addition to her parents and husband, Floyd, she was preceded in death by her sister, Constance (Connie) Tollison Burns.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, from 11:00 am until 11:45 am, followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park immediately following.
