William Bryant Carithers, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 92.
Born on April 11, 1931, in Comer, GA, the son of the late Dabney Cleo and Nellie Epps Carithers. Bryant was a kind-hearted and compassionate soul who touched the lives of those around him with his warmth and love.
Bryant began his career as a Quality Control Technician in the textile industry. His dedication and commitment earned him the respect of his colleagues and the admiration of those who worked alongside him. He took pride in his work, ensuring that every product met the highest standards of excellence.
Bryant dedicated his life to his family. He cherished his 68-year marriage to his devoted wife, Eloise Carithers, and together they built a strong and loving family. As a father, he guided and nurtured his children, Bryan Keith Carithers, Tammy Carithers Lee and husband Kevin, and Shannon Carithers and wife, Melody, instilling in them the values of love, respect, and perseverance. His grandchildren, Chad Carithers and wife, Amber, Heather Foster and husband, Zack, and Peyton Carithers; as well as his great-grandchildren, Bentley Greyson Foster and Saylor Faye Foster, brought immense joy to his life. William embraced his role as a Papa, providing unwavering love and support to the youngest members of his family.
He will be dearly missed by his sister, Coletta Chadwick, and his extended family members, including his cousin, Sara Walls; nieces, Nancy Kennedy and Jane Chadwick, and many more relatives and friends.
A graveside service to celebrate Bryant’s life will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
