William Cromer

October 21, 1922 - July 22, 2004
William Cromer, 81, of 140 Swindon Circle, died July 22, 2004 at his residence. Born in Harrisburg, PA, he was a son of the late William and Nora Williams Cromer. He served in the US Army Air Corp in the Pacific during WW II. He retired as Vice President of Beachley-Hardy Wholesale Seed Co. in Shiresmanstown, PA. Mr. Cromer was of the Lutheran faith. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Margaret Drake Cromer; two daughters, Ortell Diane Cromer of Washington, DC and Margaret Leslie Cromer of Greenville, SC; a son, William Martin Cromer and his wife, Elizabeth C. Rubacky, of Washington, DC, and one brother, Cleason Cromer of Dillsburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dillsburg PA, VFW, 2nd & Franklin Streets, Dillsburg, PA 17019 on behalf of William Cromer. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel with visitation prior to the service, from 12:30 until 1:15 p.m. The family is at the residence
