William Earl Nicholson, 83, beloved husband of the late Jean Nicholson, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Born in Easley, SC, he was a son of the late Grover and Willie Mae Nicholson.

William loved working outside, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his grandbabies. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by daughter, Missy (Todd) Shofner; son, Michael (Jennifer) Nicholson; brothers, Wayne (Judy) Nicholson, Don (Joyce) Nicholson, Dale Nicholson; and grandchildren, Berkley, and Zoe Shofner.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by son, Ty Nicholson; granddaughter, Meghan Nicholson; brother, Doyle Nicholson; and sister, Diane Wilson.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, www.arthritis.org, or to the charity of one’s choice.
