William “Will” Landreth III

Hello I just happened to read Wil's obituary and felt compelled to write. It is my hope that some thoughts from the Bible will bring you some hope, comfort and peace. It was never God's intention that we should die. When He put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, he also put before them the prospect of living forever happy and in good health. (Genesis 1:28) Our creator has not given up on that original plan..perfect live on paradise earth...even though Satan, Adam and Eve messed up (Isaiah 55:10-11)The Bible tells us that it is Satan who is responsible for death, and not God as some would tell us. (Hebrews 2:14)Our creator Jehovah God sent his Son Jesus Christ to ransom us from death and to destroy the works of the Devil (1 John 3:8)Jesus said: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me will live though he dies." (John 11:25) With Jesus Christ enthroned as King of God's Kingdom, resurrection of the dead - including Wil - and a restoration of paradise on earth is assured.It is My hope that until that time comes, you will find hope, comfort and peace in these promises from God.R/MartinSkipperGrumby@aol.com

To Will's family: I am so sorry for your loss. I was Will's first grade teacher at Simpsonville Elementary. He was a pure joy to teach and to know. I can not even begin to imagine the pain you feel at his loss. I hope it is a comfort to know that he made a huge impact on my heart. I will always remember his smile.Sincerely, Sara Doolittle

Will loved that picture of him and his father taken not too long ago, I believe they had gone to church and lunch together that day. When he spoke of that day, he expressed such gratitude for treasured time with his family. It was very evident he was extremely proud and always had great admiration for the man his dad was. I am deeply saddened and pained for such a great loss, and continue to pray for your family.

Joyce and I have very fond memories of Will. We used to watch him play basketball with our two sons on the youth basketball team coached by his father at the Trinity Lutheran Church. He had a lot of energy and determination and was always encouraging to my two sons. He will be missed by all the Weiner family. We wish to send our love and deepest sympathy to the Landreth family. Wayne, Cathy, Ted and Ali,Our family was so saddened to learn of Will's passing. We have such fond memories of Will and Ted spending time with Alex and Max over the years. Our boys were such good friends and remember many fun times with you all. We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to see Will once this summer at the BW pool. We happened to be at a party he was working and it was great to see him and catch up. Please know that we are thinking of you and praying for strength and peace for you all in your time of sorrow. When I think of Will I always remember how he loved Myrtle beach & playing in the sand with his cousins. He was fearless digging up and handling crabs and any other creature he found in nature. Will didn't think twice about completely getting buried in the sand! I will always remember his great smile, endless energy and how much he enjoyed catching sharks at Cherry Grove pier. To Will,The trips to Myrtle Beach were always a great family time. It was a chance to renew our bonds providing the opportunity for cousins to meet and get to know each other. Will was the older cousin and a leader in beach activities, play, pier fishing and skim boarding. I remember fondly the crab racing and how he made multiple tracks for more and more competitors (we dug up fiddler crabs and let them race down sand canals).
