Zion Judah Satterfield, 10, went to be with Jesus on Monday, May 11, 2020.
Born in Greer, he was the son of Brandon and Jessica Satterfield.
Zion never met a stranger and his smile lit up every room he entered. He was full of life, loved to be outdoors, and was the smartest kid you'd meet. He was always full of questions but had already formulated the answers before they were answered. He loved his sister, Selah, and called her princess. He loved his little brother, Micah, and even though they fought, they were each other's biggest fan. Zion loved his friends – he had so many of them, and loved going on adventures with Noah. He loved Clemson football and the family tradition of being in Clemson together.
Zion had a hard start to life, but he learned what it meant to become a son. He was an active member of Bridgeway Church. Of all the loves in his life, there was none greater than his Abba. He came to the Father to receive from Him better than any adult, and his childlike worship came from the depths of his heart. He told us often when he played in the creek that he played with Jesus. Being God's kid was his true identity.
In addition to his parents, Zion is survived by his sister, Selah Satterfield; brother, Micah Satterfield; brother, D Grayson; grandparents, Tom and Nancy Reed, and Wanda Goodwin; aunts, Stephanie Atkins and husband, Tripp, and Jenna Mills and husband, James; great-grandmothers, Lottie Satterfield, and Agnes Hooker; and great-grandfather, Frank Steading. Zion had the privilege of being loved by two families, the Satterfields and the Graysons, and his heart was so big, it had enough love for them all.
Zion is now in heaven with his papas, Randy Satterfield and Glenn Goodwin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bridgeway Church, SWITCH, PS. I Love You Ministries.
