Julie Bee Powlus Riker, 59, wife of Hank Riker, passed away, Sunday, May 17, 2020.
Born in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Colleen Mosser Powlus.
Julie graduated from Greenville Technical College where she received her license as a registered LPN and served at many of the upstate assisted living facilities. She was a devoted and caring nurse. Julie was quite the prankster and was loved by all that knew her. She was known for her personality, and no one had to question where they stood with Julie, she told it like it was and that was one of her most enduring qualities.
In addition to her loving husband of 18 years, she is survived by two daughters, Jessica Riker and Tiffany Scott; two sons, Michael Riker and Cody Scott; grandchildren Korey, Sophia, Christopher, John and Jenni; and special niece, Rhonda Littlefield.
Respecting Julie's wishes, a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
The family would like to express appreciation to her husband, Hank for his love and devotion to Julie as her main caregiver throughout her extended illness.
And a special thank you to Open Arms Hospice for their care of Julie.
The family encourages those at home to share your condolences on the tribute wall and send a "Hug from Home".
