Eulos "Shorty" Malpless, 86, of Easley, passed away December 16, 2010 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville with his family at his side. Born February 19, 1924 in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Walt Malpless and Ethel Malpless Ridings and widower of his wife of 67 years, Katherine Kuykendall Malpless. Mr. Malpless was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and retired from Ashworth Brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Sue Adams and her husband, Dennis; three grandchildren, Bobby Joe Kathy Nations, Kathy Ann Mark Wells and Christopher Scott Nations; four step grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded by an infant daughter, Margaret Elaine; a brother, sister and step great grandson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 1832 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642 or McCall Hospice House, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 19, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the downtown chapel with the Reverend Greg Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, West.
