Belvia Lynn Sewell Chapman, 70, faithfully finished her life journey and walked into the presence of her Lord that she loved and served, on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
Lynn’s faith has now become sight! Lynn is healed, rejoicing, shouting, and praising Jesus face-to-face. Lynn has at last been reunited with the love of her life who she affectionately called, “my Terry,” and all her family there. She was welcomed by everyone she reached with the gospel, and they are now worshipping forever in Heaven.
Born on December 17, 1951, in Greenville, SC, she was the devoted wife for 33 years to her life’s love, the late Rev. Terry Dale Chapman, and the daughter of the late Joe W. Sewell and Annell H. Sewell.

Lynn was a reading specialist of literature, an elementary educator in TN, GA, FL, AL, and SC, serving and combining her amazing artistic skills, and joyful humor as she taught hundreds of students throughout the years. Lynn’s artistic paintings, designs, and building of staging scenery for church musicals and performances was amazing. She was the delight of every children’s church she ministered in and her musical talent leading many choirs was tremendous. Lynn devoted her life to the Lord from childhood and served him faithfully. She was a passionate worshiper; her life passion was to share the gospel of Jesus with everyone she ever met so that they would love and serve Jesus and live ready for His coming. Lynn was member in fellowship of Crosspoint Assembly Greenville, SC, and the ministry family of South Carolina District Assemblies of God.
Lynn was a Parker High School graduate, class of 1970, an alumnus of Southeastern Bible College, Lakeland Florida, and a graduate of Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville Alabama.
Lynn dearly loved and was a prayer warrior for her family. She was devoted to the church families she ministered to, the family of God, and her life’s testimony; she was known as “a friend of God.” Through the many years of declining health, she loved and trusted the God she served.
