Julie Faye Huff, 81, beloved wife of Jimmy Huff, went peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday, March 7, 2022.
Born in Salisbury, NC, she was the daughter of the late David Austin and Pauline Long Hamilton.
Faye was the daughter of a Methodist minister, and attended Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. She loved her cats, and tending to her flower garden, they both brought her much joy. Faye enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. She was also known for having quite the sweet tooth. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and her sweet spirit and presence will be forever missed but will be carried on by her loved ones.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by sons, Charles David Nixon (Karen), Chris Walker Nixon (Brandi), and Michael Johnathan Huff (Chayne); daughter, Kymberly Huff Conn; granddaughters, Jamye Conn Buckner, Ashley Conn Cranmer, Brittany Conn, Loralie Nixon, Crystal Huff Cain, Michelle Huff Rampey, Riley Huff, and Kristen Thornton Bolsby; grandsons, Charles Hunter Nixon, Chris Austin Nixon, Sawyer Huff, Richard Steven Huff, Jr., and Bryan Arthur Thornton; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, David Austin Hamilton, Jr.; and nephew, Tripp Hamilton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Jimmy R Huff, Jr. and Richard Steven Huff.
A visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest.
